Where it Started

In 2020, Jess Druey was 22 years old with a first date, a grocery store, and absolutely no idea what wine to grab. She stood in the aisle, surrounded by hundreds of bottles and words she didn't recognize, and felt something she couldn't shake: why does this feel so hard?

That question became WHINY.

How it grew

Jess built the brand the only way she knew how — by documenting it in real time. People watched on TikTok as the brand came to life. They voted on label designs. They followed along and weighed in. The bottles had conversation-starter caps, labels you could peel and save, a phone number you could text.

From day one, the community wasn't just an audience. They were co-creators.

Where are we now

WHINY is evolving. We've partnered with Gallo — which means national scale, distribution, and a winemaking team that's obsessed with getting the juice right. And we're dropping the "Baby." Same DNA. More intention. Built to last.

This spring, we're launching four California blends — Red, White, Rosé, and Orange. Crafted to be honest, approachable, and distinctly Californian. Wine without the fuss.
